1 Welcome!

Welcome to the the fifth S2S lab. This lab moves away from teaching specific coding practise and starts to use what we have learned in previous labs to start exploring some ideas in statistics. Specifically, this lab will introduce the concept of sampling distributions - what they are, how they're constructed and how we can use R to help us in creating them.

The sampling distribution is also covered in Chapter 6 Sampling and Sampling Distributions of Probability and Statistics with R, specifically Section 6.4 Sampling Distribution of \(\bar X\) of textbook runs through a similar example that the majority of this lab uses.

To participate you only need to read the Participant Information Sheet and submit your name and student number.

Level 2 Stats lecturers and tutors will have no knowledge of who has/hasn't given consent for their data to be included in the study.
